Main Content Area

Lecture 32
  • In the last class, we obtain the equation for orbotals in the central force motion.
  • We will do few examples to find the force function, if the type of the orbital is given.
  • The orbital means, how the radial coordiante change as a function of the polar angle.
  • We also would like to find out how the radial coordinate and the polar angle change as a function of time
  • This will then lead to find out the type of the orbit for a particle moving in a central force field. We will discuss the turning points
